The 22-year-old American star will be confident heading to New York, especially after just winning her second Cincinnati Open title over the weekend. Gauff has recovered fully from some early-season struggles, pushing past early exits and straightening out her serve to become much more consistent on the court.

Gauff's recent Cincinnati title is sparking some déjà vu for the player — she last won that tournament in 2023, just weeks before going on to win her first US Open. Coincidentally enough, experts and oddsmakers are projecting her to be one of the biggest threats in the tournament.
