You have to have a thick skin in the NFL. Coaches and players can't really care what people think. Fans always like to make their voices known, and that's great to see that passion, but at the same time, coaches and players have to stick to what they believe is right, and that's exactly what's happening with Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken.

The coach has made the decision that Deshaun Watson will start this season over Shedeur Sanders. Fans haven't exactly liked it. They've even booed Watson. That's a rough crowd for your own fanbase.
But, if you think Monken cares what you think about his decision, you're wrong. He doesn't. He's making that clear.
Todd Monken isn't letting fan criticism sway his decision
On Tuesday, Monken spoke with the media about his decision and the backlash that he's getting. He's cool with the criticism. He doesn't care what fans think on this matter.
When asked if it upsets Monken that Cleveland fans aren't in love with his choice for starting quarterback, he said not at all.
"Absolutely not," Monken said in his presser. "Would I prefer that we would all be on the same page? Yeah, but that has nothing to do with my decision, and it can never have anything to do with my decision."
He added, "My decision has got to be about what's best for the Browns in Week 1 and all the way through the season, and as long as I'm the head coach here."
Later in the presser, he said, "I'm confident in Deshaun and our ability to push the ball down the field, otherwise we wouldn't be starting him."
So, Monken is standing by his decision. Now, we'll see how it flies when the regular season kicks off.
