The Jets have revealed their initial 53 man roster for the 2026 season, sort of.
The initial 2026 roster released by the team only has 52 players. The list does not include offensive lineman Jordan Meredith who was reportedly acquired in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

If we are going to be charitable, the Jets have not officially announced the trade on their website or social media channels, suggesting the deal has not been officially filed with the league office. Once Meredith is added, the Jets will have 53 players on their roster.
Surely this team did not delay announcing its roster until three hours after the deadline only to forget to add a player, right?
The Jets also placed a pair of rookies, Anez Cooper and VJ Payne on injured reserve with a designation to return. Tyler Baron will start the season on the physically unable to perform list. All of these players must sit out at least the first four weeks of the season before being activated.
Here is the initial roster, subject to change starting tomorrow as waiver claims are made.
