The Green Bay Packers got a spectacular moment from Will Sheppard in their preseason finale Friday night, with the young wide receiver making a play against the Arizona Cardinals that quickly became one of the game’s biggest highlights.
Sheppard certainly made his presence felt when his opportunity came in the second quarter. After fielding the punt, the Packers rookie broke away from Arizona’s coverage and sprinted 80 yards untouched for a touchdown, turning an ordinary return into one of the night’s biggest plays.

Sheppard is fighting for a bigger opportunity as he enters his second year in the NFL and first season with the Green Bay Packers. The wide receiver went undrafted in 2025 and spent his first year trying to establish himself before landing a reserve deal with Green Bay this offseason.

Sheppard gave the Green Bay Packers plenty to remember as the preseason came to a close. His standout performance helped cap Green Bay’s exhibition slate on a high note, with the Packers finishing 2-1 after outlasting the Arizona Cardinals 42-38 in a wild offensive battle.
