One report indicates that Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has already seen enough.
According to the New York Post, the 35-year-old veteran will not play during Friday's game:
Jets QB Geno Smith will not play tomorrow night against the Giants, per source. Most of the Jets starters who have played this preseason are expected to sit out the preseason finale.

Earlier this week, Glenn indicated he had not yet made a decision on whether or not Smith would see more playing time. In two preseason games for the Jets, Smith has only played one single drive which was last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 17-0 win.
Considering that, there are clearly two sides to this coin: Risk injury to give the veteran more reps or not? The latter is reportedly the answer.
The Jets traded for Smith earlier this offseason in a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Since that day, Glenn has backed Smith has his No. 1 QB in 2026.
It is anticipated that fourth-round rookie Cade Klubnik will start against the Giants if Smith does not.
