LeBron James is 41 years of age and preparing to enter his 24th season in the NBA. He’s achieved so much during his career already, but the King is not satisfied yet.
More championship rings are definitely on James’ mind. This is evident in his choice of team this offseason, LeBron joined the Philadelphia 76ers on an incredibly cheap deal.
Teaming up with Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Maxey has helped LeBron be the final piece in what should be a contending team. And Bob Myers thinks this is the hardest road.

The King is a huge part of the NBA GOAT conversation at this point in his career. However, there are many fans who think he needs at least as many championships as Michael Jordan to be the best ever.
Considering the stacked roster he joined, it’s interesting to see James’ decision be termed as the hardest path. But Myers has gone on to explain what the 41-year-old’s priorities are.
“If you ever questioned the motivations of LeBron, he chose the hardest path I think,” Myers said. “Now you say best chance to win. He goes back to Cleveland. He’s made man. He chose the only one reason.
“It’s to win. It wasn’t because I played there before. Or I grew up there. I want to play with my friend. It was because I want to win. So, I’m going to go where I want to go. It gives me the best chance to win.”
This explanation from Myers does make some sense, but it also feels a bit all over the place. One thing is for sure, LeBron is in Philly to win, and his presence makes it a harder path for every other Eastern Conference team.
