NFL career
Bell, who played college football at South Carolina (2020-2022) and Florida State (2023), was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft. After a brief stint with the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad, Bell joined the Steelers in December 2025. Bell signed a reserve/futures contract with the Eagles in January 2026 but was waived in April. He joined the Steelers for a second stint one month later, in May.
What's next in 2026?
It's hard to say if Bell, projected to serve as the TE4, can secure a spot on the 53-man roster. On one hand, carrying four tight ends on the roster isn't really a stretch. But Pittsburgh also has Riley Nowakowski as a fullback-tight end hybrid. This could lead the Steelers to pass on carrying four tight ends and ultimately hurt Bell's hopes of making Pittsburgh's 53-man squad.
