Manchester City assess Palmeiras’ Allan

Palmeiras are facing growing Premier League interest in Allan Elias, with Manchester City now joining Aston Villa in monitoring the academy graduate.

Aston Villa have already tested Palmeiras' resolve with an offer worth around €30 million, but the Brazilian club turned down the approach. They consider Allan important for the remainder of the season and are unwilling to sell, with the midfielder protected by a €100 million release clause.

Manchester City are now considering Allan as one of the options to replace Savinho, whose departure from the club is increasingly likely.

Savinho has attracted strong interest from Tottenham, with negotiations progressing quickly and a deal now looking increasingly close. Should the move go through, the Brazil international could leave for a club-record fee of around €100 million.

City are unlikely to meet Allan's release clause, particularly given the financial scale of the potential Savinho deal. However, the Premier League champions may still explore the possibility of reaching an agreement with Palmeiras.

It has been a challenging transfer window for City following Pep Guardiola's departure. Elliot Anderson and Jeremy Monga have arrived, while Rodri and Bernardo Silva have moved on, leaving further gaps for the club to address before the window closes.
