While her political career might have tanked, outgoing U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace has launched a YouTube talk show with guns ablazing … and tattoos!

Mace, a 48-year-old Republican from South Carolina, showed off her tattooed arms while promoting her show, “Get Maced,” where she plans to talk about the news of the day.

The ink had all been previously under wraps, hidden from public eye under black blouses and blazers.

Physical pain helped her cope

In a February interview with Politico , Mace shared that she got several ink pieces of art that gave her “the pain that I need to feel.”

She said she got the nine tattoos, one after another, to mark the exodus of staffers from her congressional office who had talked smack about her to the press, and the breakup with her fiance , among other bad experiences.

Mace said the physical pain from getting the tattoos helped her cope while also giving her a way to “reclaim” her body and identity.

“So, my story is I’m totally broken,” Mace told Politico . “I have PTSD over what I’ve been through.”

The soon-to-be-former congresswoman said she had dealt with alleged sexual assault and molestation throughout her life, while also mourning the tough relationship she had with her father, per the New York Post .

What’s next for Mace?

Mace had hoped to get the Republican nod to become the governor of South Carolina, a race she ultimately finished in fifth place and was won by Attorney General Alan Wilson.

She had also explored the possibility of a Senate run after the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham in July. However, she has since backed fellow Republican Ralph Norman in the race.

Mace said on her YouTube show that she’s going to finish out the remainder of her term as a congresswoman.

“I told the voters that when I ran in 2020 that I would only serve three terms in the House,” said Mace. “I believed in term limits and I would go back to the private sector.”

“I’m a woman of honour and integrity. And when I make a promise, I keep it,” she said.

“I love the business space. Will probably start some companies and just work really hard just like I always have to create jobs and get some more time with my family.”

How do people feel about the ink?

Mace went viral after pictures of her tattoo-covered arms surfaced. Many were stunned by the revelation.

“She went from Charleston to Myrtle Beach real quick,” one stated on X.

“Does anyone find Nancy Mace’s new tattoos attractive in the slightest?” asked another .

“Her body her choice I guess. Did she get a heap at once though?” another asked .

“Man the midlife crashout is hitting hard,” stated a YouTube commenter.
