Indiana Fever continue to make WNBA viewership history

The Indiana Fever are the most popular team in the WNBA. Fans flock to arenas to watch their games or tune in to their TVs. The viewership numbers prove this as they continue to make history. Six of the 10 most-watched matchups this century are due to them.

Sports Media Watch listed Indiana’s six games this season that made it the list. The team’s meeting with the Las Vegas Aces on Saturday is on top with an average of 2.6 million viewers.

It was their third and final matchup of the campaign. Fans had the opportunity to once again see Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston face A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young.

Mitchell and Clark are playing at MVP-levels, while Boston has been a consistent contributor. Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull are fan favorites as well, bringing even more attention to the team.

The Fever still have scheduled clashes with Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream and Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. Their game versus the Chicago Sky on Aug. 23 is also highly anticipated, and they could once again reset the viewership numbers.

The Fever entered the season as one of the title favorites. However, they only managed a 5-5 record through the first 10 games. Indiana has since turned things around and is now 21-12 and fourth in the standings.

There’s still a lot of games left in the regular season but the team is in a good position ahead of the playoffs. It will be a tight battle for a top three seed, although the Fever are favored to secure one of them given their strong lineup. They will return to action on Friday, hosting the Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
