The latest controversy in the W was DiJonai Carrington’s postgame comments on Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham after the former was ejected in the Chicago Sky’s defeat.
After her ejection, Carrington posted about ‘white privilege’ on social media, but instead of receiving support, she has been heavily criticized by WNBA fans and experts alike.

Joe Burrow’s former teammate, Breiden Fehoko, became the latest name to express his anger at Carrington’s ridiculous clarification after controversial comments about Cunningham.
“You just said a whole bunch of nothing. Your very first words after getting ejected in the locker room was ‘White Privilege’ while the game was still going on.
“It don’t matter where you went to school, how you dress up this post, throwing sugar on s___ don’t make it smell better,” Fehoko exploded on X.
He added, “You know exactly what you meant when you tweeted that out and now you’re using a whole lot of nothing to PR clean up.”
Fehoko thinks Carrington’s clarification was a poor PR attempt as she wanted to distract people from her obvious dig at Cunningham.
As things stand right now, the WNBA may need to intervene to further punish the Sky star and needs to tighten its rules to avoid such controversies in the future.
