The Lebanese health ministry says an Israeli double-tap strike on southern Lebanon has wounded two people on Tuesday and damaged an ambulance.
The ministry condemned the “continued targeting” of rescuers. The attack is the latest from Israel, despite a truce between the country and Iran-backed Hezbollah, AFP reported.
According to the National News Agency, the hit took place in the southern city of Nabatieh. The health ministry said Israel attacked again when rescuers from the Risala Scouts Association came to the scene.
“The ministry reiterates its condemnation of the enemy’s continued targeting of rescue teams, which constitutes an unacceptable violation of international humanitarian law and all international norms,” it said.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s civil defence stated that its personnel were targeted by an Israeli drone strike while they were trying to extinguish a bushfire, also in the Nabatieh area.
No one was wounded, but the incident forced them to leave.

According to Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari, negotiations between Iran and Oman have reached an advanced stage.
He said the negotiations are at a critical juncture, noting Doha supports efforts for de-escalation in the region, per Al Jazeera .
“As mediators, we want the Strait of Hormuz reopened as soon as possible,” the official added.
Trump says Iran’s economic situation is ‘not sustainable’
In a taped interview with media outlet “Real America’s Voice,” U.S. President Donald Trump defended his strategy in the Iran war again, stating the country’s economic situation is unsustainable.
Trump’s comments put focus on potential economic measures to pressure Iran amid negotiations with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.
“Just bop along and look how bad they’re doing, because they’ve got 300% inflation, they have no value. Their currency has almost no value. They’re not paying their soldiers. Their soldiers are leaving,” Trump said, per ABC News .
“So just keep that going because that’s not sustainable,” Trump said, while adding the U.S. could “hit them really, really hard.”
“So economically, they are a mess. They can’t borrow money. We control their money, what they had, which is a lot. They had a lot, and we have total control of it. I’m their banker,” Trump added.
