The offseason addition, Brown, has been going up against one of the top cornerbacks in the league over recent weeks during camp.
Gonzalez may be waiting to get paid as the top defensive back in the NFL, but the 24-year-old is refusing to lower his level in practice.
Brown finally got his wish to leave the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year, with the opportunity to reunite with Mike Vrabel in New England.
Drake Maye has a new WR1 to utilise and Brown is certainly being sharpened through the competition with Gonzalez during camp.
As tensions flared on Thursday between the pair, Kayshon Boutte shared what he heard Brown saying to Gonzo as he tried to split them apart.

Brown is not thinking about the upcoming practice with the Eagles and is fully focused on improving during his reps against Gonzalez.
As the pair continue to push each other to the very limit, frustrations got the better of them on Thursday.
Wide receiver Boutte was one of the first on the scene to split the duo as he got a brief glimpse into what was being said.
“I was just trying to pull A.J. out [of the scuffle]. On to the next. I heard him I heard him say something about ‘you’re a grown man’, I just let it go before it get too far,” he said.
This is only natural in camp, with the first episode of this season’s Hard Knocks showing the same to be happening with the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks.
These men are competing at the very top of the game, but it is a huge positive to see both Brown and Gonzalez walk away from their heated moment amicably.
“I mean it’s good on good, he’s the number one receiver in this league going up against a number one corner,” Gonzalez said after practice.
“It’s football at the end of the day, there’s never no disrespect or anything. We’re just battling and getting each other better. He’s gonna face corners like that.”
Gonzalez is expected to become the highest-paid corner in NFL history and being able to put Brown up against him throughout the summer can only be a positive for everyone in New England.
