“For us, it was important to win the game against a top Premier League team that also qualified for the Champions League and to put in a good performance. The conditions weren’t easy, but we presented ourselves well, and I’m very satisfied. We’re always trying to improve and get the basics right. The young players who are joining the team are trying to learn that as quickly as possible. They showed themselves to be very good,” Neuer told FCBayern.com.
