In an interview with the NFL Network at the Browns' practice on Tuesday, Schwesinger said that he was able to speak with Kuechly and get to talk to him. Cameron Wolfe asked him what that conversation was like and what the meeting was like for Schwesinger.

His answer was this: "I think that he is one of the all-time greats, not even at linebacker, just at defense as a whole. So being able to pick his brain and really one of the things I wanted to ask him (about) was his preparation throughout the week and how that was established. How he was able to feel prepared, so I think that has been a big thing for me."
Browns' budding star Carson Schwesinger talks "preparation" with future Hall-of-Fame linebacker Luke Kuechly.
This should absolutely electrify Browns fans everywhere. The comparisons feel like they are made on a daily basis from Schwesinger to Kuechly, and now Kuechly is mentoring the young star as he begins his career.
What Schwesinger did in his rookie season was nothing short of spectacular. He was incredible week in and week out, even when he was injured. Just as Kuechly would do during his career, Schwesinger played and battled through significant injuries at the end of his season last year and legitimately was in All-Pro conversations.
Instead, he settled for the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award, which is a nice consolation prize.
As Carson continues to grow and develop, his next step is to master the mental game and master the art of preparation. What he did last year came with very little knowledge of what to actually do. He was playing as a rookie, relying on instincts while he learned how to prepare.
Now, he got some advice from the future Hall of Fame (future as in Thursday). As Kuechly dons his gold jacket, Schwesinger is battling through his second training camp. If he can take even one element from Kuechly's game, maybe one day Schwesinger will be getting his gold jacket sized just an hour south in Canton, Ohio.
