The San Francisco Giants continue this three-game road series against the Texas Rangers this afternoon.

Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Blade Tidwell, who enters today’s game with a 3.00 ERA, 3.51 FIP, with 10 strikeouts to three walks in 12 innings pitched in relief for the Giants this season, this will be his first start of the year. His last appearance was back on April 28th, in which he allowed two runs on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk in two innings.
He’ll be facing off against Rangers left-hander MacKenzie Gore, who enters today’s game with a 4.77 ERA, 3.80 FIP, with 136 strikeouts to 44 walks in 122.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Rangers’ 3-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays last Wednesday, in which he allowed three runs on three hits with nine strikeouts in seven innings.
