Badgers forward pushes for Braeden Carrington to return to Wisconsin

Austin Rapp may not have much say in the matter, but it's clear he'd love to see Braeden Carrington love to return to the Wisconsin Badgers.

The 6-foot-10 forward who transferred from Portland had a chance to play with Carrington, a 6-foot-5 guard, during the 2025-26 season.

Carrington began his collegiate career at Minnesota. He spent two years with the Golden Gophers before transferring to Tulsa to get his career back on track.

Head coach Greg Gard took a chance on Carrington in the portal, and it paid off. Despite not starting a single game, he averaged 18 minutes and a career high 8.3 points per game.

Now, Carrington is part of an ongoing lawsuit that could see him be granted a fifth year of eligibility.

If that happens, Wisconsin does have an open roster spot, and Rapp recently posted a photo of him and Carrington labeled "run it back."

Gard's 2026-27 roster features quite a few new faces, so it sure would be nice to have Carrington back in the fold.
