In our last installment of the series "Old faces in different places," we looked at the quarterbacks. This time, we will take a look at the running back position. Running backs are at a premium this season, as they are every season, and with a slow turnover occurring at the position, some names did switch area codes, just not very many. Here's a breakdown.

Kenneth Walker III - Kansas City Chiefs
The reigning Super Bowl MVP was brought in to help stabilize the run game, which has been inconsistent of late. With Patrick Mahomes' injury last season, he will also provide security and get plenty of work.
Tyler Allgeier - Arizona Cardinals
Allgeier left the Atlanta Falcons to be a featured back and will now be a backup after the team drafted Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame.
Travis Etienne Jr. - New Orleans Saints
The Saints are trying to find a more balanced attack, and Etienne will help open up the offense for young QB Tyler Shough.
Brian Robinson - Atlanta Falcons
Taking the place of Tyler Allgeier, the other B-Rob in the Falcons backfield shouldn't expect a whole lot of work unless Bijan Robinson goes down.
David Montgomery - Houston Texans
David Montgomery is the steal of this class for the Texans. He will receive a ton of work in a backfield that has lacked consistency over the past few seasons and will get all of the goal line/short yardage work.
Isiah Pacheco - Detroit Lions
Pacheco hasn't been the same since his leg injury, but the Lions hope that they can rejuvenate him and get him close to where he was with the Chiefs early on.
Rico Dowdle - Pittsburgh Steelers
This is another move that I love. Dowdle can break tackles and will more than likely emerge as the Steelers' lead back.
Chris Rodriguez Jr., - Jacksonville Jaguars
I believe Rodriguez Jr. has been underrated in the NFL so far. He should feel right at home with plenty of opportunities with the Jags.
Rachaad White - Washington Commanders
He is a tough runner who gains positive yardage most of the time and will be relied upon in early-down situations in DC.
Kenneth Gainwell - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This could be an ideal fit for Gainwell, who is an excellent pass catcher out of the backfield. He should thrive in Tampa.
