According to Mthokozisi Dube of FARPost, Amakhosi are pushing to sign the 21-year-old winger. The report also claims a swap deal involving DDC defender Gopolang Taunyana is being explored.

FAIZ ABRAHAMS ATTRACTS AMAKHOSI INTEREST

Abrahams, affectionately known as Fire, has reportedly turned down an approach from Durban City. The winger is now believed to be waiting on Kaizer Chiefs as they work on a deal.

The Bishop Lavis-born attacker began his career in the youth ranks at Cape Town Spurs, formerly known as Ajax Cape Town. After the club’s relegation, Abrahams decided against renewing his contract. He instead joined Stellenbosch FC.

The winger enjoyed an outstanding season in the club’s DStv Diski Challenge team. He scored 11 goals and won the DDC Player of the Season award.

KAIZER CHIEFS CHASE ATTACKING TALENT

His impressive form earned him a senior debut against Amakhosi during the closing stages of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

Stellenbosch FC later sent him on loan to Israeli club Hapoel Kfar Saba for the 2025/26 campaign. The young attacker impressed with three goals and three assists in 11 appearances before returning to South Africa ahead of schedule.

His pace, direct running and attacking quality have made him one of the country’s brightest young talents. If Kaizer Chiefs complete the move, Abrahams would become their second signing from Stellenbosch FC during the current transfer window.
