Kaizer Chiefs’ expected starting XI vs Scottland FC

Brandon Petersen is expected to start in goal. The defence could consist of Dillan Solomons, Thabo Moloisane, Inacio Miguel and Bradley Cross.
In midfield, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Lebohang Maboe are expected to anchor the team. Nkosingiphile Ngcobo should play in an advanced role behind the attack.

Asanele Velebayi and Mfundo Vilakazi are tipped to start in the wide positions. Etiosa Ighodaro is expected to lead the line.
Amakhosi will be without several key players. Mduduzi Shabalala, Rushwin Dortley, Wandile Duba and Khanyisa Mayo remain unavailable through injury.
The day will also feature the unveiling of Kaizer Chiefs’ new signings. The club will also launch their new home and away kits. Before the main match, the Kaizer Chiefs Legends will face the Jozi Masters at 12:00.
SCOTTLAND FC ARRIVE IN FORM
Scottland FC come into the match full of confidence. The Zimbabwean champions are top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with 52 points from 24 matches.
They have won 15 games, drawn seven and lost only twice. The Harare-based club has scored 39 goals and conceded just eight. They also boast a league-best goal difference of +31.
Captain Walter Musona is enjoying an outstanding season. He has scored 11 league goals after netting twice against Bulawayo Chiefs on Thursday.
The visitors also have familiar faces. Former Kaizer Chiefs stars Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona will return to face their old club.
Kaizer Chiefs are still chasing their first Toyota Cup victory. They lost 4-0 to Young Africans SC in the inaugural edition in 2024. Last year, they drew 0-0 with Asante Kotoko before losing 3-2 on penalties.
Supporters can watch Sunday’s match live on SABC 1. It will be Kaizer Chiefs’ final test before they open their Betway Premiership campaign against Kruger United at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, 1 August at 20:15.
