RPF of NFR Ensures Prompt Medical Care for Passengers Across Railway Network

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues to uphold its commitment towards passenger safety and welfare by providing timely medical assistance to passengers who fall ill during their journey. Through coordinated efforts with railway authorities and local medical facilities, RPF personnel ensure that passengers receive immediate attention whenever medical emergencies arise.
On 17th July 2026, RPF personnel at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station rendered immediate medical assistance to an ailing female passenger travelling by Train No. 15607 (Thiruvananthapuram Central – Silchar) Aronai Express. She was promptly shifted to the Railway Hospital at New Jalpaiguri by ambulance and was subsequently referred to a higher medical facility for specialized treatment.

On the same day, RPF personnel at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station also extended medical assistance to another passenger travelling by Train No. 13174 (Sabroom – Sealdah) Kanchanjungha Express. The passenger was shifted to the Railway Hospital at New Jalpaiguri for further medical treatment after receiving immediate assistance at the station
As part of these efforts, 12 passengers were provided medical assistance across NFR during the month of June 2026. Continuing this humanitarian service, 7 more passengers have been provided timely medical assistance during July 2026 (till date), reflecting the prompt response and dedication of RPF personnel in safeguarding passengers' well-being.
