The Marlins saw potential in Alderman when he was a key player on the Mississippi Rebels’ Men's College World Series championship team in 2022.
After appearing in the Arizona Fall League, he hit 22 home runs, stole 22 bases, and helped the Jumbo Shrimp win both the International League and National Championship in 2025.
The Jumbo Shrimp dropped to 50-44 and 7.5 games out of first place in the IL East after being swept by the Rochester Red Wings. They travel to Worcester on Tuesday.
