Florida State football a team to watch for 2028 in-state quarterback
· Yahoo Sports
The Florida State Seminoles have a few commitments in their 2028 class, but they don't have a quarterback yet. They have one they're interested in, and one of them is Hudson West out of Sarasota, Florida.
FSU became one of the 20-plus schools to offer West back in April. The 6-foot-4.5, 185-pounder was recently in Tallahassee for a camp on June 21. This motion over the past few months has put the Seminoles very high on his list of schools. Per Zach Blostein of 247Sports, they're one of the programs he's interested in the most.

Sarasota (Fla.) High's Hudson West has emerged as a top quarterback option in the state after a sophomore season that saw him throw for 2,836 yards with 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He has also impressed in the offseason camp circuit, turning in an impressive performance at Florida's Friday Night Lights camp in June. The Gators are a school to watch early on with West, who also likes Florida State, North Carolina and Georgia Tech.
West completed 55.1% of his passes as a sophomore. He registered 2,836 yards and 26 touchdowns to just five interceptions. On the ground, West put up 121 yards on 13 carries.
He needs to improve his accuracy, but West is clearly a talented thrower of the football with dual-threat skills. This makes him a player to remember for Florida State in the 2028 cycle.
West isn't ranked by 247Sports. Rivals industry rankings have him listed as the No. 794 player, the No. 93 quarterback, and the No. 109 prospect in Florida. They also have him as a three-star recruit.
