A.J. McKee vs. Razhabali Shaidulloev set for PFL and RIZIN featherweight titles in major cross-promotional bout

Two titles will be on the line Sept. 10 when PFL contender A.J. McKee and RIZIN featherweight champion Razhabali Shaidulloev collide in a unique cross-promotional bout in the main event of Super RIZIN 5 at Kyosera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan.
Both the vacant PFL featherweight championship and Shaidulloev’s RIZIN featherweight title will be at stake for the winner, creating a rare double championship matchup.

McKee (25-2) is a former Bellator featherweight champion. The 31-year-old son of longtime MMA fighter Antonio McKee, “Mercenary” has won four of his five PFL bouts since joining the promotion following the dissolution of Bellator in late 2023. McKee is a perfect 3-0 since moving back down to 145 pounds following a three-year run at lightweight, defeating the likes of Akhmed Magomedov, Adam Borics and most recently Salamat Isbulaev.
Shaidulloev (19-0) has quietly emerged as one of the sport’s top talents outside of the UFC. The 25-year-old Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan native has won seven straight fights under the RIZIN banner, including four consecutive championship bouts against Kleber Koike Erbst, Viktor Kolesnik, Mikuru Asakura and Yuta Kubo, all of which ended in first-round knockouts.
Shaidulloev vs. McKee will be contested with three five-minute rounds under RIZIN MMA rules, meaning stomps, soccer kicks and grounded knees to the head will be allowed.
MMA legend Shinya Aoki (49-12, 1 NC) seeks his 50th professional win against longtime RIZIN veteran Mikuru Asakura (19-6, 1 NC) in the evening’s co-main event.
