LaMelo Ball's time with the Minnesota Timberwolves is now officially underway, as the team held his introductory press conference this week. In a blockbuster trade that featured Ball landing in Minnesota in exchange for Naz Reid and draft capital, it now sets up one of the NBA's most fascinating and talented backcourts.
Ball answered a wide range of questions during his initial presser, and one topic was another talented team in Minnesota, the WNBA's Lynx. More specifically, Ball was asked about Lynx rookie guard Olivia Miles, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.

The response isn't at all surprising, but it's clear that Miles' stellar play early in her WNBA career has led fans and players alike to take notice.
Through her first 22 games in the WNBA, Miles has averaged 19.4 points, 5.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 30.6 minutes per game. She's shot a stellar 50.5% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range. Most importantly, she's been an integral part of Minnesota's impressive 18-6 start to the season, the best record in the WNBA.
