Grizzlies officially sign Cam Boozer to rookie contract
· Yahoo Sports
Cam Boozer is officially a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Boozer signed his rookie contract on July 13, the Grizzlies announced. That was a formality, as rookies sign scaled contracts depending on where they were drafted. Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick, is projected to earn $53.8 million over the four years of the deal. He'll be a restricted free agent after that.

Though he hasn't yet played an NBA game, Boozer has already turned heads around the NBA. He has been impressive through the first few games of NBA Summer League, both in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
The Grizzlies drafted Boozer after he had an impressive freshman season at Duke. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while earning first-team All-America honors and winning the Naismith Player of the Year award.
Boozer is part of a young Grizzlies core that includes Zach Edey, Cedric Coward and others as Memphis retools after trading Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant.
The Grizzlies' draft class also includes No. 21 overall pick Karim Lopez and No. 32 overall pick Richie Saunders. Neither has played in summer league as they recover from their respective injuries.
