Relebohile Mofokeng’s girlfriend, Nolofatso Mohono, has shared her “worst fears” after the death of his teammate Jayden Adams.

The 25-year-old is believed to have ended his life on Saturday, 11 July, just weeks after playing in the FIFA World Cup. Police are currently investigating an inquest into the circumstances of his death.

At the back of the tournament, Mofokeng has signed a five-year contract with the Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

Just hours after his death was confirmed, Jayden Adams’ partner, Aqueelah Adendorf, posted an emotional tribute on her Instagram feed.

Many Bafana Bafana WAGS sympathised with the mother-of-one, including Nolofatso Mohono, the girlfriend of Relebohile Mofokeng.

Nolofatso reposted the post, adding: “My worst fears”.

On her Instagram Stories, Nolofatso also reposted several quotes about mental health.

One read: “We really are on borrowed time. Choose people who choose you and let everyone else be”

In another, she shared: “Mental health issues are consuming us. May we heal and find a way to deal with things we don’t talk about. Silent battles are the worst.

Nolofatso Mohono’s partner, Relebohile Mofokeng, has relocated to Belgium, where he has signed a five-year contract with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. This will mark the first time the former Orlando Pirates player – who is just 21 years old –  will play abroad, and away from his support system in South Africa.

IQRAAM RAYNERS WIFE SHARES TOUCHING TRIBUTE

Also paying tribute to Jayden Adams was Imaan Rayners, the wife of Bafana Bafana player Iqraam Rayners.

The blonde-haired woman posted a TikTok video, filled with clips and images of Jayden in happier times.

She captioned the post: “We will forever treasure all the memories we shared with you, Mr Djy😭💔..it still feels so unreal 💔..I wish I was dreaming”

She added: “Rest softly, brother 🫂🕊️🕊️forever 25”.

Iqraam was one of the first people on the scene outside Adams’ Cape Town home when his death was first reported on Saturday.
