Tyler Herro gave an interview during the Summer League clash between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks after being punched by Bam Adebayo.

The interview seemed innocuous enough when it was posted, as the world hadn’t found out about Herro’s fiery interaction with his former teammate.

However, Herro’s words have a new meaning behind them now that everyone knows what transpired moments before the interview.

Tyler Herro sent his love to Miami despite Bam Adebayo’s punch

During the interview, where Herro did sport a shiner under his right eye, the xx-year-old guard sent his love to his former teammates and coaches while hailing the fresh start both sides are receiving.

“It’s all love in Miami. I have seen a couple of the guys… We’re all good in Miami and it’s an opportunity for both sides to reset and get a fresh start. We’re both super happy for this.”

It’s a cookie-cutter response, but the reality of him being punched by his former star teammate moments before this interview was quite incredible.

Whether the message was earnest and a way to put things in the past or a professional way of dodging talking about his real feelings, we don’t know. But the fallout from this incident will likely lead to us finding out soon.

Tyler Herro’s leaked DMs slamming Bam Adebayo believed to be the culprit

Herro and Adebayo have previously shared a brotherly relationship in public as the two Heat stars being mentored by Jimmy Butler.

The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade race might have caused this.

Adebayo was considered untouchable while Herro was shipped out, which likely led to bad feelings for the guard, who then aired those out to a fan on his private Instagram account.

Herro criticized Adebayo’s salary and apparent impunity in trade talks while everyone else’s future hung in the balance.

Clearly, watching a close former teammate spill his guts to a random fan on Instagram led to bad feelings, but whether Adebayo will regret this action remains to be seen.

Given the public nature of this fallout, a league or a team-related investigation might be required to ascertain what exactly went down between the former teammates.
