Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division Committee Meeting Held

A meeting of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division Committee was held on 10th July 2026 under the chairmanship of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM). The meeting was attended by the Hon’ble Members of Parliament associated with the division.

The meeting was presided over by Hon’ble MP Shri Vishnu Dayal Ram. Various issues concerning the division were discussed in detail, and suggestions were received from Members of Parliament. During the session, matters related to passenger amenities were reviewed, and the committee provided guidance on improving services and facilities.
The meeting was attended by Hon’ble MPs Shri Chhotelal Singh, Shri Virendra Singh, Shri Rajesh Ranjan Singh, Shri Arun, Shri Sudama Singh, Shri Manoj Kumar, and Shri Samana Singh, along with other central and state officials. The committee reviewed the division’s performance in providing passenger services, freight handling, and infrastructure development.
The DRM highlighted that the division had successfully operated over 92 passenger trains daily in 2025–26, transporting approximately 180,000 passengers. Additionally, a record 4.5 km-long goods train was successfully run, and freight handling reached 905 wagons per month. The division has undertaken modernization efforts, including upgrading 15 stations with improved passenger facilities.
The MPs provided suggestions for further improvement in rail infrastructure and services, which will help enhance overall passenger experience. The committee emphasized that these inputs would support the division in planning future development and operational efficiency.
