Harry Kane’s work rate stands out for England

Former Bayern Munich player and German youth national team coach Christian Ziege can understand why England fans have not always been thrilled with the team’s World Cup performance. However, Ziege has been impressed with the squad’s resilience.
“I know that there has been some criticism in the UK about the way England are playing sometimes, but I think the most important thing is they score goals and they go through. They have fantastic, strong players and, as you can see, the whole World Cup is not easy for any team to reach the next stage of the tournament,” Ziege told Casino Guru. “It doesn’t matter who you play against. There are maybe only four or five teams that are not really good enough to play in the World Cup, but otherwise it’s a really big achievement just to be there. I saw Norway yesterday and I’m really surprised.

“I hadn’t seen them before, but the way they play, keeping the ball, trying to keep possession all the time and not giving the opposition the chance to play their own game, was impressive. But yes, it will be a tough game. I still go for England, definitely.”
One thing that has been a positive for Ziege is the play of Bayern Munich star Harry Kane, who has been excellent for the Three Lions.
“I have to say, I admire Harry and I’m a big, big fan of Harry Kane. Not just because of the way he plays and what he has delivered over the last few years for Bayern Munich,” Ziege said. “Obviously, I watched him playing for Tottenham as well. But now I think he’s in the right team, with the right players around him, giving him the chance to score a lot of goals. But it’s also the work rate he puts into every game. Not just attacking – defending, being part of the team, being a real team player – it’s outstanding. He’s a true captain.”
Amen, brother.
