The German international would become the second attacking reinforcement to arrive at the club this summer following the capture of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Given the situation, it appears pretty much a given that Roony Bardghji will be leaving the club in search of regular minutes.

Ferran Torres could also leave

Now, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, there is also some uncertainty surrounding the future of another Barcelona forward: Ferran Torres.

The 26-year-old attacker enjoyed the best season of his career in 2025/26, finishing with 21 goals and three assists from 49 matches in all competitions.

With Robert Lewandowski leaving, Ferran was tipped for a bigger role at Barça in the coming season, as he would be directly competing with the No. 9 that the club sign in the summer.

However, as per the aforementioned outlet, the Spanish international’s future is currently open.

Several offers for Ferran

Indeed, Plettenberg reports that Ferran has already received several top offers and his situation is currently being assessed.

While there is no mention of the clubs that have shown an interest, it has been previously reported that Atletico Madrid like the Spaniard as a potential replacement for Julian Alvarez, who could move to Barcelona.

Contract situation leaves the door open

As things stand, Ferran has already into the final year of his contract at Barcelona, which expires on 30 June, 2027.

The fact that there has been no meaningful progress in negotiations over an extension, when it has been made clear that the Blaugrana prefer to avoid players entering the last year of their deals creates doubts over his situation.

If an agreement is not reached, Barça face the risk of losing him for free next year. So, this summer represents the club’s last opportunity to get a meaningful fee for the attacker.

Ferran, though, has always maintained that he wishes to stay at Barcelona and was quick to dismiss the interest from PSG earlier this summer.

But, with the La Liga champions pushing to sign Alvarez and also working on a deal for Adeyemi, it will be interesting to see whether the Spanish international reconsiders his stance.
