The U.S. men's national team's defeat to Belgium meant that all three co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup had been eliminated in the Round of 16.

Canada was knocked out by Morocco 2-0 on Saturday, while Mexico fell to England on Sunday night at Estadio Azteca. After Thursday's pair of matches, which includes Lionel Messi and Argentina, we will know all eight teams that will take part in the quarterfinals.
