The Mets got within three runs before the bottom fell out in a 14-3 loss. The Mets surrendered four home runs in the defeat, which was their third straight.
The Mets will look to pick up the pieces in the third game of the series at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Truist Park.
NY Mets, Braves probable starting pitchers for Sunday's game
Nolan McLean will take the ball for his 18th start of the season.
McLean enters with a 5-5 record, 3.78 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. He tossed six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and scattering five hits and two walks.
Martin Perez will be on the mound for the Braves. He carries a 6-5 mark with a 3.27 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 17 appearances including 13 starts.
