Ismael Bennacer is still on the Milan books after the Dinamo Zagreb loan, but is taking matters into his own hands to find a new club this summer.
The Algeria international had been a big investment when making the transfer to Milan in 2019 for €17.2m from Empoli.

There was a loan at Olympique Marseille in February 2025 that was not made permanent, then another to Dinamo Zagreb in September 2025 when other markets had already closed.
There was a €10m option to buy in that deal, which the Croatian club did not activate.
Bennacer remains under contract with Milan until June 2027, but he has no place in the new-look squad assembled by coach Ruben Amorim.
According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano and MilanNews, the midfielder has decided to take the situation into his own hands by signing up with new agency Lian Sports Group.
Both the player and Milan are hoping that he can find a new club willing to pay a transfer fee and above all take his wages off their books.
