The 2026 NBA free agency period is underway with most big name players failing off the board.

So far, free agency has been headlined by Utah Jazz forward Walker Kessler receiving a 4-year, $130 million contract from the Los Angeles Lakers following a sign-and-trade deal.

This also includes Dean Wade, who signed a 4-year, $39 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, and Quentin Grimes, who the Lakers locked up on a 4-year, $60 million deal.

Other big name free agents on the move include center Mitchell Robinson and guard Norman Powell.

Where will LeBron James sign?

The biggest free agent still on the market is future hall-of-famer LeBron James, who earlier in the week informed the Lakers his intent to sign with another team.

There are no shortages of teams interested in James' services with rumored suitors including the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.

James has instructed agent Rich Paul to speak to every team in the league interested and return with options so he can make a decision, according to media reports.
