Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has introduced a new tourism circuit titled 'Divine East Temple Tour' on its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train. The thoughtfully curated 11-day rail journey offers devotees and travellers a unique opportunity to visit some of the country's most revered pilgrimage destinations, along with culturally significant heritage sites across Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand.
The journey will commence from Delhi Safdarjung and cover Varanasi, Puri, Konark, Chilika, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Gangasagar and Baidyanath Dham before returning to Delhi. The itinerary includes darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Jyotirlinga) and participation in the Ganga Aarti at Varanasi.

The tour will then proceed to Puri for darshan at the revered Jagannath Temple, followed by a comprehensive tour of Odisha, covering Bhubaneswar, Dhauli Shanti Stupa, the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Konark Sun Temple, and other prominent attractions.
The next destination is Kolkata, the cultural capital of India, where passengers will visit landmarks such as the Victoria Memorial and enjoy an evening sunset cruise on the Hooghly River, passing the historic ghats, the iconic Howrah Bridge and Vidyasagar Setu. The itinerary also includes visits to Kalighat Mandir, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths, Dakshineshwar Kali Temple and Belur Math, which preserves the enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda.
One of the major highlights of the tour is a day excursion to Gangasagar, where pilgrims will have the opportunity to take a holy dip at the Sagar Sangam and seek blessings at the Kapil Muni Temple.
The final spiritual destination is Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar), one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The train will return to Delhi Safdarjung on October 5, 2026, marking the conclusion of a memorable and spiritually enriching journey.
