He will also assume a leading role in all Ravens-owned-and-operated programming (video, radio, and podcasting). He will also be a regular contributor on WBAL NewsRadio, 98Rock, and WBAL-TV. He becomes the third radio play-by-play announcer in the team's three-decade history, following Gerry Sandusky (2006-25) and Scott Garceau (1996-2005). Sandusky retired this past April.

For many Ravens fans, the voice delivering the action on Sundays becomes as familiar as the players wearing the uniforms. Great broadcasters become part of an organization's identity, helping narrate unforgettable moments and creating memories that last long after the final whistle sounds.
That reality makes Youmans' new assignment both exciting and challenging.
A dream opportunity for the Ravens' new game-day voice
Youmans recently joined The Lounge Podcastand discussed what the opportunity means to him. His enthusiasm was evident throughout the conversation. Joining an organization as respected as the Ravens represents a significant step in any broadcaster's career. It also provides a unique opportunity to join one of the NFL's most passionate fan bases.
The Ravens clearly believe Youmans possesses the talent and personality necessary to thrive in the role. He follows a proud tradition set by the great Gerry Sandusky. One of the challenges of stepping into a position like this is that comparisons are inevitable.
Fans become attached to familiar voices. Sandusky served as the soundtrack to some of the franchise's greatest moments. Replacing that level of familiarity is never easy. Fortunately for Youmans, he doesn't need to attempt to become someone else. He just needs to be the first Kyle Youmans.
The most successful broadcasters bring their own style, energy, and perspective to the microphone. Ravens fans will undoubtedly spend time getting accustomed to a new voice, but Youmans appears committed to earning that trust.
A new voice for a new era
The Ravens enter the 2026 season facing significant expectations. Lamar Jackson remains one of the NFL's premier players. Derrick Henry continues to defy Father Time. A talented roster believes it can contend for a championship.
As those storylines unfold, Youmans will have a front-row seat. The names, faces, and seasons may change over time, but every era of Ravens football needs a voice to tell the story. Beginning this fall, that responsibility belongs to Kyle Youmans.
