Darryn Peterson is one of the top prospects ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft. Alongside AJ Dybantsa, Peterson has immense potential, which is why they are seen as the top two prospects. Alongside them are Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson, who complete this year's big four players.

Despite rumors of Peterson only prioritizing the Washington Wizards, who hold the first overall pick, he has dispelled those rumors. In fact, Peterson has said that he is fine wherever he lands in the Draft.

Darryn Peterson is ready to play for any team that picks him

With the Wizards holding the first overall pick, they face a tough selection between Dybantsa and Peterson. However, it seems the consensus from the NBA fans is that Dybantsa is the best choice between the two.

This could fuel Peterson moving forward because if he does not go first overall, there is a good chance that he could drop to third to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Utah Jazz already has some promising guards, so he might not be the best pick there.

Cameron Boozer has connections to the Jazz through his father, who is a former player who is currently working in the front office. This leads to Peterson possibly dropping from a potential first overall pick to third.

Peterson has no issues with that because he is ready to play for any team. Dropping to Memphis could be good for him as well because they need a franchise-altering player who could be the next superstar due to Ja Morant's confusing situation.

"Just a decision that was made. I’m definitely not dodging any team. Whoever takes me, I’m going to come in and be delighted to be there. Wherever that happens to be, they’ll get the best me," Peterson said to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto.

Peterson can realistically end up with the Wizards, Jazz, or Grizzlies. The Jazz are still a solid landing spot for him because he could combine with Keyonte George and Ace Bailey at the perimeter. However, it seems Peterson has no preferences now that the NBA Draft is here.
