Colts roster breakdown: Who's a lock, on the bubble at defensive tackle
· Yahoo Sports
With minicamp behind us, let's break down the Indianapolis Colts' roster through a different lens.

In this series, we will be going position-by-position and placing each player into one of three categories -- are they a lock to make the team, likely to make the team, or on the bubble and fighting for a role?
What this exercise can do is help bring into focus how many roster spots are actually available this summer, along with highlighting who may be on the outside and looking in.
Up next are the defensive tackles.
Roster locks (3): DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart, Colby Wooden
Buckner and Stewart will again lead the way at this position. The Colts traded for Wooden earlier this offseason, which tells us how much they value him.
Likely to make the team (1): Adetomiwa Adebawore
On my latest roster prediction, I had Adebawore on it. I fully expect him to be on the team, especially after his improved play from last season. That said, I can't say that with 100% certainty either. It's the final year of his deal, the Colts save money on the salary cap by releasing him, and a veteran like Jerry Tillery could offer more pass rush juice.
On the bubble (4): Jerry Tillery, Derrick Nnadi, Cameron Ball, Tim Smith
Tillery and Nnadi are recent free agent additions, but their contracts are very easy to get out of if the Colts wanted to move on during roster cutdowns. Smith spent last season on the practice squad, while Ball is a 2026 UDFA addition.
With four spots on the roster likely accounted for, there are one to two other openings potentially up for grabs.
