Charlie Gray Could Leave Manchester City This Summer

The 20-year-old joined Man City’s academy at a tender age, climbing his way up the ranks. He has been a member of the U21 squad since 2024. This season, he made 20 appearances across all competitions, producing three goals and four assists. Pep Guardiola also handed him a brief cameo with the first team in the victory over Brentford in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

However, Gray’s contract with the Cityzens will expire at the end of the month, so this could be the time for the promising player to leave the nest and find a prominent role elsewhere, as he’s unlikely to find sufficient playing time amid the stellar competition at the Etihad Stadium.

Lazio Enter the Race for Gray

According to Footy Insider correspondent Pete O’Rourke, Lazio and Feyenoord are both monitoring Gray’s situation. The journalist also reveals that the Manchester native is also in talks with other English clubs, while renewing his MCFC contract remains possible, as the conversation between the two parties is still ongoing.

Lazio insider Damiano Er Faina also reported the Biancocelesti’s interest in the young Englishman, claiming that Bologna are also in the fray.

Lazio Following Several Young Midfielders

Gray isn’t the only rising midfielder on Lazio’s radar. The club as reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid to bring 19-year-old Bruno Galassi to Formello. The Spaniard-Argentine teenager is expected to join the Aquile’s Primavera squad. Lazio are also in advanced talks with 20-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Jonathan Asp Jensen.
