Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento has suffered a hamstring injury that will force him to miss the World Cup, according to The Telegraph. Livramento is currently with England in North American but could be on his way back to Newcastle in a huge blow. The Magpies star is now set to be replaced by Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of their opening game against Croatia on Wednesday night. Livramento’s fitness struggles are well documented, and he could only play 26 games across all competitions for the St. James’ Park club in 2025-26.
The 23-year-old missed almost whole 2022-23 season at Southampton with a serious knee injury. He dealt with hamstring and knee problems last term, eventually starting just 19 games across all competitions. He returned from a hamstring injury during the season but has suffered a recurrence from the look of things and is out of the World Cup. It is also a huge blow for Newcastle who could do with potential suitors seeing him in action at the tournament.
