Ousmane Dembélé nearing PSG contract extension

Ousmane Dembélé (29) is close to signing a contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from RMC Sport

There have been doubts regarding Dembélé’s continuation at PSG beyond the end of the season. The Frenchman was named Ballon d’Or winner back in September after an extraordinary season on an individual title, which converted into collective titles for PSG (Ligue 1, Coupe de France, UEFA Champions League…). Despite this season being more injury-hit, Dembélé remains a key player for Les Parisiens.

However, reports in France earlier this season suggested that there may be difficulties with contract extension talks, with his current deal running until 2028. Speaking to RMC Sport last month, Dembélé said that he would “100%” be at PSG next season.

And his long-term future looks to lie with the reigning European champions. RMC Sport understands that talks over a renewal are advancing positively. There is no hurry from either side but an agreement is expected to be reached after the FIFA World Cup. The Ballon d’Or winner is keen to remain at the Parc des Princes.
