The 6-foot-1, 165-pounder out of Gurnee, Ill., previously played his high school ball at Warren Township High School, where he elevated his national ranking to No. 42 in the 2027 class, per 247Sports. According to 247Sports, Davis is the nation's No. 16 point guard.

Davis recently announced he has transferred to Monarch Academy in Kansas City, Kan. in Nike’s EYBL Scholastic League.

This season, Davis averaged 23.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 3.5 steals for the Blue Devils (30-4), who eventually lost in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 4A sectional semifinals this year after advancing to the state championship game in 2025.

Davis' sensational seasons have earned him several local, state, and national-level recognitions, including 2026 Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year, Illinois Media Class 4A Player of the Year, unanimous first-team All-State honors, back-to-back Illinois Mr. Basketball awards and back-to-back Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year awards.

Along with Iowa, Davis also holds offers from other Big Ten foes, including Michigan, Ohio State, Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, and Purdue. Fellow Pour Four programs Arizona State, Kentucky and Missouri have offered as well.
