The Los Angeles Rams made a statement early this offseason, acquiring the best pass-rushers in the league in Myles Garrett, but not everyone is convinced.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. is one of those individuals, and responded with a bold statement when asked about the Rams’ activity in the offseason.
“They’ve got to deal with us,” Wilson said. “At the end of the day, they’ve got to deal with us.”

Wilson, 28, has spent the last two seasons in the NFC West, though missed most of the 2025-26 season after suffering a rib injury and punctured lung against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.
Through his eight games, he recorded 60 total tackles as well as a forced fumble and an interception.
His efforts didn’t make much of a difference for the Cardinals, though, as they still finished with a 3-14 record at the bottom of the division. The linebacker is more than familiar with Garrett’s game, though, as he played with the seven-time Pro Bowler with the Browns from 2019-21.

After the Rams traded for Garrett, who broke the NFL’s single-season sack record with 23 in 2025-26, they made sure to lock him down for the foreseeable future. He signed a five-year contract, overwriting the one he signed with the Browns, extending him through 2030.
Garrett received a $35.7 million signing bonus to cover his salary for the coming season, as well as a guaranteed $1.3 million base salary.
He has a $30 million option bonus for 2027 that is fully guaranteed and protected from injury, along with a $1.345 million base salary.
His 2028 deal is similar, guaranteeing $19.49 million via bonus salary as well as $1.345 million in base.
The final two years of the deal total about $40 million each including an option bonus, offseason roster bonus and a base salary.
While this is a high price to pay for the Rams, they’re surely happy with their newest defensive piece. Garrett has established himself as one of NFL’s best defensive players since his debut in 2017, and will look tom use his talents to propel the Rams to their first Super Bowl win since 2022.
