East coast road trips to stadiums without roofs are the pits. Today’s series opener between the Mariners and Nationals will begin in a delay due to bad weather in the area. We’ll post the latest updates here as well as the general game preview information. If the game is played, this post will also serve as tonight’s game thread.

Update, 3:38 PT: Gary Hill on the Mariners pregame show just said the weather looks “pretty good” so it seems like tonight’s game will be played, even if it doesn’t start on time.

The latest: this game is officially in a delay, but no start time has been given. Shannon Drayer posted that the tarp had briefly come off the field, but then posted the tarp is back on and the game is officially delayed.
