Karamoko, who came through at Lens’ rivals, Lille OSC, moved to Italy at a young age, joining Chievo before moving to Torino. He then returned to his native France back in 2023, joining FC Versailles prior to a move to Standard Liege last summer.
The centre-back has thrived since making the move to Belgium. Last season, he made 33 appearances in all competitions. Karamoko’s performances across the border have caught the attention of French clubs, who are considering repatriating the player.
Standard Liege set €6m price tag
Lens, who are notably expected to lose Malang Sarr this summer, are interested in Karamoko, whose versatility and ability to play in defensive midfield have caught the eyes of other French clubs, Get French Football News understands.
One year after joining for a nominal fee of just €150k, Karamoko could be on the move. Should he do so, Standard Liege would look to make a significant profit. His valuation sits at €6m.
