Teacher busted for alleged incest over sex with two boys she adopted

Privately, cops say the 35-year-old was having sex with two teenage boys she adopted in a sordid tale that has left her town reeling.
Swain, 35, of Newport, Wash., was arrested Tuesday on charges of first- and second-degree incest following an investigation by the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to her teaching duties, she was also a director at Pend Oreille River School.
Had sex ‘plenty of times’
The school is the Newport School District’s alternative high school.
According to cops, the probe began May 18, after the state’s Department of Children, Youth and Families received disturbing information regarding possible sexual abuse involving two teenage males. They told police, who launched an investigation.
Detectives conducted interviews with the two alleged victims. Then they talked to Swain. Investigators determined there was probable cause to bust the allegedly twisted teacher.
One of the boys told cops he was engaged in a sexual relationship with Swain before he turned 18 and that the pair had sex “plenty of times.” The duo even had sex two days before she was arrested, he said.
When confronted with the fact the boy was under 18, Swain allegedly said: “I could have my timeline messed up.”
The second admitted groping Swain numerous times while they were in bed together. She later put a stop to it.
Faces 20 years in prison
Swain was released on bail. She faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Meanwhile, Georgia high school teacher Maris Nichols , 25, was allegedly buttering her toast on both sides. She has already been accused of sexually abusing a student — once in her Hummer and once in the classroom closet.
Now, shocking new details have emerged with additional warrants.
• One warrant accuses the teacher of having sex with a male student at a golf course “in the backseat of his truck.”
• Another alleges she made a female student watch BDSM bodice ripper, Fifty Shades of Grey , and then talked about “different types of clitoris.”
• Nichols is also accused of sending text messages to three male students. In the raunchy missives, she told the boys she liked them and the sex acts she wanted them to perform.
• She told her alleged prey: “How she liked to be choked, screamed at, slapped, and whipped during sexual encounters.”
Nichols, who taught in suburban Atlanta, is charged with two counts of sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority.
‘Off-campus situation’
In Alabama, a substitute teacher is also facing charges of having sex with a student. Crystal Veronica Rankin, 43, is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a student younger than 19 in Jefferson County.
Cops were tight-lipped other than to say it was an “off-campus situation.”
Smirking Roswell (Ga.) High School teacher Amanda Katz , 55, has been arrested and charged after an investigation into allegations that she sexually assaulted a student.
She has been charged with Improper Sexual Contact by an Employee or Agent.
Cops say they received a tip from the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services alleging misconduct involving a Roswell High School student. Katz resigned during the investigation.
Police allege Katz sexually assaulted a 16-year-old student during numerous off-campus encounters that occurred between 2025 and 2026. During that time, the pair exchanged almost 20,000 sext messages and had unprotected sex on numerous occasions at her home and in the backseat of her Jaguar sports car.
He told detectives, she was “scared s–tless” of being caught.
She also allegedly begged the boy to run away to Mexico with her. She now faces 20 years in prison.
Her alleged fantasy life all came crashing down when his mom found the raunchy missives. Katz told pals she was “distraught” because she could no longer see her “boyfriend.”
‘You broke my f***ing heart’
Police said in one text she wrote: “As much as I loved falling asleep next to you and you growling, I want you.. I am not even sure we could hide it.”
When they split at the mother’s behest, Katz wrote: “I loved you. And this is the most f–ked up and scary thing that has ever happened to me. You f***ing broke my heart… This is probably the worst thing anyone has ever done to me. You abandoned me. You did, not your mom.”
