Harrison was previously committed to Jacksonville State but reopened his recruitment on June 4 after coach Steve Bieser was hired by Grand Canyon.
Harrison, who was a standout at Germantown and is from Madison, was on the Clarion Ledger's Dandy Dozen team in 2024. He attended Tulane for the fall semester before transferring to Pearl River before the start of the 2025 season.
He played at Pearl River for two seasons, earning a spot in the team's starting rotation as a sophomore. In 2026, he went 11-1 in 17 starts, posting an ERA of 3.53 and averaging 10.58 strikeouts per nine innings.
Harrison also helped Pearl River win the NJCAA Division II National Championship, striking out seven batters in four innings on May 30 against South Mountain Community College.
Against Hinds Community College on May 4, Harrison struck out a career-high 13 batters in seven innings.
As a freshman, Harrison pitched 30.2 innings out of the bullpen with an ERA of 1.76 and 12.62 strikeouts per nine innings.
Harrison joins a Southern Miss pitching staff that is set to return all three weekend starters from this season in Grayden Harris, Camden Clark and Camden Sunstrom.
Four pitchers from this season have entered the transfer portal: McCarty English, Brooks Willoughby, Jake Neely and Camden Rodgers.
