CRPF Agartala Launches Mass Plantation Drive on World Environment Day

The Group Centre (GC) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Agartala celebrated World Environment Day 2026 on Friday under the leadership of YK Rajput, Deputy Inspector General (DIG). On the occasion, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma launched a community tree planting mass plantation drive at the CRPF Agartala Campus, aligning with national efforts like the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.

Debbarma attended the event as the chief guest, which saw the presence of all officers from the Forest Department, CRPF, and jawans. The GC, CRPF, Agartala announced a series of community-driven environmental initiatives aimed at promoting ecological balance, combating climate change, and reducing plastic pollution. Operating under this year's official theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For our Future," the campaign emphasizes the urgent need to transition environmental awareness into actionable, sustainable living.
