Pre-registration open for girls basketball camp

LIMA — Former Bowling Green State University women’s basketball player Caterrion Thompson is holding a girls basketball camp from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on both Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17 at Lima Senior High School, 1 Spartan Way, Lima.

The camp will include skills training, five-on-five games, contests and camp T-shirts for participants. The event is focused on helping young girls develop fundamental basketball skills, confidence, leadership skills, teamwork and discipline as well as teaching them life lessons that extend beyond basketball.
The event is open to girls in the third through 11th grades. The 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. slots will be for grades three through six, while the 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. slots are for grades seven through 11.
The price is $60 for Lima City Schools campers and $80 for other campers.
While registration will be available at the door on June 16 and 17, campers are only guaranteed a T-shirt through pre-registration, which ends Saturday, June 6.
